I can't believe I'm writing on this....and just after a year and 1 mo. Crazy. I'm paddling now, first year, but i love it...and I made second crew for Dad's Center race. I'm pretty scared about it cause this past weekend when the guys did the Duke race, the conditions were crazy. The winds are up, the ocean is a washing machine in some areas and it's life and death out there at some places. So exciting though. Yippee, I can't wait. Work's the same, but not stressful and I don't hate my boss....cause he moved and I have a new one now. yay. just got back from a cruise with my mom. good bonding time. glad we went, it was relaxing. didn't do much and went to bed early...exactly what I needed. drew's still in iraq but hopefully, we'll all be together at christmas in VA. that would be awesome. okay, that's all i care to write.

dude, i just spent a week on Molokai with youth from my church for camp. holy crap, i love youth. they are such a ministry to me, how passionate they are and to see them grow and learn. it was such a great time. so many hearts were changed, made better, new comittments. i only got to go to the first one, but the second one left today i'm really jealous cause i'll be here, working, trying to "hit goal" this month. na, i'm very thankful for my job, just a little too corporate for my taste. my clients are all awesome though.

i'll be assisting with varsity soccer at a high school here the middle of next month. and it's preseason so it's my ground to get their butts in shape. i hope i have what it takes. i'm kinda nervous it being my first time and all. i'm sure i'll fall in love with every single one of them too. man, if only they knew what the Lord had in store. i hope i can share that with them.

my parents come at the end of this month! that'll be fun watching them be tourists and saying all the cliche stuff. i'll actually be one too for a little while, seeing new stuff with them.

i found a new place to live since my roommate is getting married and this is her house. the house i'm going to live in is with a mother and her daughter and their roommate. the mom's name is Lois, and the daughter's middle name is Emily! ha!!! okay, God, i get it! isn't that hilarious! and the daughter's 14!! perfect!!! i hope she can make friends with my girls at New Hope and get involved!!! that would be awesome. she'd totally get along with them.

i've almost been here for one year now, just a couple more months. that's crazy. it's only by the Lord that i haven't missed home one time, never once wished i was back in college or back somewhere with old friends. i absolutely love it here and i never want to leave. God really had a plan. Jeremiah 29:11 is true. and i've prospered i think. my job and getting involved in church has definitely been my stronghold. thank you Jesus!

life is good, not always enjoyable, but good.....in the Lord.

cousin is on the plane now!! she'll be my answer to no money and nothing to do!! yay, can't wait!

So I saw Iolani High school (www.iolani.org) today where I might be working as a strength and conditioning coach. can i just say how humbling it is to think that God wants to use me in that setting. i'm not able, but He is thru me.

How great you are Lord, I give you all the praises of my heart.

my pastor said the coolest thing in service last night. he said, sometimes our physical health reflects our spiritual health. so true. he compared it with when Saul was blinded for three days by the Lord. crazy! it's so true though. my body is the temple of God. i've got to take care of it.

it's good to have people in your life that make you want to know more, better yourself, your knowledge, who are inspiring. i'm thinking about a Master's degree. after i get some stuff paid off and maybe settled a little bit more. but i don't want to leave Hawaii so i'd pretty much be stuck with UH even though it's not the best school. and i'd have to live here for a certain amount of time b4 getting residence for in state tuition. i did hear though that some grad students get paid for getting higher education. what? sign me up!

camp Molokai is coming up. it's going to be crazy fun with my youth. i can't wait.

Cousin's coming and that's going to be super crazy too.

so much learning, so little time! pray for me
