dude, i just spent a week on Molokai with youth from my church for camp. holy crap, i love youth. they are such a ministry to me, how passionate they are and to see them grow and learn. it was such a great time. so many hearts were changed, made better, new comittments. i only got to go to the first one, but the second one left today i'm really jealous cause i'll be here, working, trying to "hit goal" this month. na, i'm very thankful for my job, just a little too corporate for my taste. my clients are all awesome though.
i'll be assisting with varsity soccer at a high school here the middle of next month. and it's preseason so it's my ground to get their butts in shape. i hope i have what it takes. i'm kinda nervous it being my first time and all. i'm sure i'll fall in love with every single one of them too. man, if only they knew what the Lord had in store. i hope i can share that with them.
my parents come at the end of this month! that'll be fun watching them be tourists and saying all the cliche stuff. i'll actually be one too for a little while, seeing new stuff with them.
i found a new place to live since my roommate is getting married and this is her house. the house i'm going to live in is with a mother and her daughter and their roommate. the mom's name is Lois, and the daughter's middle name is Emily! ha!!! okay, God, i get it! isn't that hilarious! and the daughter's 14!! perfect!!! i hope she can make friends with my girls at New Hope and get involved!!! that would be awesome. she'd totally get along with them.
i've almost been here for one year now, just a couple more months. that's crazy. it's only by the Lord that i haven't missed home one time, never once wished i was back in college or back somewhere with old friends. i absolutely love it here and i never want to leave. God really had a plan. Jeremiah 29:11 is true. and i've prospered i think. my job and getting involved in church has definitely been my stronghold. thank you Jesus!
